How It All Began

In July 2019, Raw Bites quietly opened its Lazada store with no grand expectations. At the time, we were just a small business selling nuts and seeds under our private label. Our office doubled as a packing station, with the two company heads taking turns preparing orders. Back then, hitting ₱50,000 in monthly sales felt like a huge win—it was extra income we never even planned for.

Little did we know that six months later, the world would change.

The Pandemic Pivot

2020 brought lockdowns, economic uncertainty, and a scramble for businesses to go digital. While traditional stores struggled to adapt, our Lazada store became a lifeline. The demand for healthy snacks grew, and so did our online presence.

For a while, it felt like the online marketplaces—Lazada included—were running us instead of the other way around. Orders poured in, and we had to evolve quickly. We explored third-party fulfillment to keep up, but this meant letting go of some customer conveniences we once offered, like office pickups and manual order adjustments.

Learning Efficiency & Bringing Fulfillment Back In-House

After two years of outsourcing fulfillment, we realized we wanted more control over our operations. We invested in an Order Management System (OMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS), set up a dedicated fulfillment center, and brought logistics back in-house. While we couldn’t bring back full customization, we made sure our processes were smoother and more customer-friendly.
